Projects

Since beginning my studies in homeopathy, I have repeatedly encountered the problem that much important information on all relevant areas (e.g., case taking, Materia Medica, case management, etc.) is scattered across various sources. On the one hand, this means that studying high-quality homeopathic medicine is still more time-consuming, expensive, and difficult than necessary. On the other hand, it leads to repeated mistakes in training and practice that could be avoided with a comprehensive level of knowledge. It is not necessary to “reinvent the wheel” over and over again.

For this reason, I initiated and led the “Gold Standard Case Taking Project” from 2006 to 2008 with the aim of compiling all valuable information on homeopathic case taking and uncovering significant sources of error in homeopathic training and practice. To this end, homeopathic literature on these topics was compiled, an international survey of therapists was conducted, and a symposium with international experts was held in 2008.

In 2010, I began reviewing and compiling clinical literature on homeopathic obstetrics, which led to my first (German) book publication in 2019 – Handbuch der homöopathischen Geburtshilfe (Handbook of Homeopathic Obstetrics). This work is now being continued in an expanded and international form as H.O.P E – The Homeopathic Obstetrics Project in collaboration with midwife Helga Häusler.

In 2020, in response to the COVID-19 crisis, I began working with my colleague Dr. Martin Wernhart to compile all relevant information on the homeopathic treatment of people with pneumonia and/or pleurisy. We conceived this work as a prototype for modern clinical literature. On the one hand, it aims to present the valuable experience gained from 180 years of practice as comprehensively as possible and, on the other hand, to integrate the current state of conventional medicine – from a homeopathic perspective.

In October 2025, this work was published as an e-book and practice software (first by JREP). For more details, see: Pneumonia

Behind this work lies the greater vision of creating such works for all important clinical areas within an international network, thereby establishing modern homeopathic textbooks and making them accessible worldwide. We want to establish for homeopathy what the Cochrane Society and its publications are for conventional medicine. Our initial focus is on the 10 acute diseases that cause the most deaths worldwide. We are convinced that high-quality homeopathic medicine is a cost-effective, resource-saving, and effective option for many of these global problems—as an alternative or in cooperation with conventional therapies!

Our current working title for this project is: H.I.G.H. – The Homeopathic Initiative for Global Health.
